For Earth For Life Please Note: C2C and Employer Sponsorship is not available for this role This role is hybrid eligible (2 days remote/3 days at Corporate office)The Internal Control Associate will perform financial reporting, operational, and compliance audits including planning, testing of control effectiveness, and reporting of audit findings to Management.PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:--- Performs duties towards successful completion of internal control evaluations applying internal controls over financial reporting standards (ICFRS) and COSO Framework.--- Assists in performing a comprehensive annual company-wide risk assessment through quantitative and qualitative analyses and management interviews to identify high impact business risk areas.--- Builds trusting relationships, collaborates, and helps Management identify areas of improvement and find solutions to problems.--- Functions as liaison between external auditors and Management, process owners, and control owners.--- Organize, schedule, and proactively manage workload to meet department's established milestones while often leading and/or contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.--- Observe all company procedures, laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.--- Assist with other financial or operational audits, internal reviews, or duties as required.--- Other duties as assigned by management.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS--- Bachelor's degree in business related field preferably Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or Business Administration required.--- Possesses or currently working towards CIA or CPA certification preferred.--- 2 years' experience with external audit/assurance services, internal control, operational and/or compliance audits, preferred.--- Knowledge of internal control concepts and best practices (COSO 2013, COBIT, SOX, IIA IPPF).--- Exposure to GAAP and GAAS requirements.--- Proven ability to influence decisions and promote changes that support organizational objectives.--- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.DISCLAIMER:The information provided in the description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by incumbents within the classification.
