Controller Role:
The Controller is responsible for managing the company's accounting practices and policies, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of its financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Primary duties include supervision over general accounting
Interpret and analyze data with ease, generate hands-on reporting
Evaluate and improve systems, workflows and staff responsibilities across offices
Identify and implement integrated applications to support time, expense, and other reporting requirements
Manage accounting, tax, reporting, and special project functions
Execute or review/approve all account reconciliations - cash, investments, credit, and other key accounts
Monitor cash flow and prompt management on AR collections, seasonal budget management, and other goals
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate financial statements
Prepare information for outside preparation of corporate tax returns
Oversee, manage, and direct all accounting and financial operations to ensure data accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Ad hoc reporting
Supervise accounting, HR, compliance, and administrative staff
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Provide recommendations
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Ensure compliance and accuracy
Meet financial accounting objectives
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions


Controller Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Advanced skills in the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Exchange, OneDrive, and Excel
Accounting software experience,Quickbooks online preferred
5+ years Accounting experience
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to direct and supervise
