GameStop is looking for a highly accomplished Senior Engineering Manager of Continuous Improvement (EM/CI) to build within our Refurbishment Operations Center (ROC). ROC teams drive and expand our Customer warranty program, consisting of Customer product returns (laptops, android/iphones, gaming consoles, etc), warranty returns, product warranty repair, and product refurbishment. ROC has thousands of SKUs across a huge product inventory; this is a critical and rapidly expanding tier of GameStop---s business model. Scaling and continuously improving processes within the ROC is mission critical and commands high visibility and significant resources. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the site---s technical/engineering teams, which includes Repair/Refurbishing/Production, Quality, Test, and Process. The EM/CI is focused on creating continuous improvements on behalf of GameStop customers, driving standardization efforts, acting as a liaison with other departments, and coordination and implementation of cross-functional projects across our fulfillment network. Key Responsibilities: The EM/CI will create strategies, tools, and processes by directing, implementing and creating Continuous Improvement (CI) transformational programs using LEAN manufacturing best practices. Additionally, the EM/CI will develop product plans that have clear, measurable success criteria and define mechanisms and metrics (e.g., KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness) to enable program/project adoption, improve performance, and diminish variance against goals. Working directly with VPs, ROC Operations, Processes, & Services, you will: Build, lead, and develop a highly functional and collaborative team, including performance metrics and career development pathways Track staffing and lead hiring initiatives as demand dictates Benchmark and implement best practices and establish sustainable mechanisms to audit and drive adoption of these processes/systems Use PDCA/LEAN methodology to drive small scale improvements in processes Use Kaizen methodology to drive large scale process improvements or reduction in costs Sustain roll out of Continuous Improvement (CI) essentials and Kaizen essentials training to managers. Research and implements Capital Improvements and purchasing of new machinery and equipment Evaluates site capacity and production cycle times to support product volume and product type increases Support issue resolution including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking Basic Qualifications Bachelor---s degree in Engineering or related field 7 years hands-on manufacturing/production engineering experience. 5 years direct management of engineering teams experience, including both exempt and non-exempt direct reports Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of LEAN, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint) Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or certification as a LEAN Implementer. Preferred Qualifications Master---s Degree in Engineering or related field Six Sigma Black Belt certification Experience with automation and/or high volume manufacturing Experience with adhesive dispense processes and/or thermal manufacturing processes Experience with surface treatment manufacturing processes
