LEAD MACHINIST, NIGHT SHIFT Job Summary: Diamondback Industries is seeking an experienced and driven Night Shift Machine Shop Lead to oversee and support a team of up to 20 machinists in the production of our proprietary engineered components. This leadership role requires strong CNC machining knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to drive performance, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor. Job Functions: Lead by example—mentor, support, and supervise a team of Night Shift Machinists to ensure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met Coordinate and oversee operations on Doosan CNC machines with FANUC controls, ensuring team adherence to all specifications and industry standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, promoting ergonomic practices and safety protocols at all times Monitor and enforce quality control practices using precision measurement tools and inspection processes to maintain internal quality standards of 99.6% Troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate basic maintenance, and ensure machine readiness across all active workstations Manage team workload, machine utilization, tool life, and offsets to optimize efficiency and meet production targets Collaborate with engineering and production leadership to streamline processes, reduce downtime, and eliminate waste Utilize manufacturing software to track performance metrics, production flow, and team efficiency Facilitate shift handovers, maintain accurate production records, and participate in planning and scheduling activities Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive quality, reduce cost, and enhance employee engagement and customer satisfaction Job Qualifications: Minimum five (5) years of experience in CNC machining Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting problems Willingness to work night shift Monday to Thursday, 4:20 p.m. to 3:20 a.m. Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role: lift up to 70 pounds as needed Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines in a manufacturing environment Compensation up to $30.00 per hour depends on experience and years of service. Standard background check and drug testing is required. Medical insurance is 70% less cost to employee based off national average
