circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This role plays a key part in
designing, developing, and implementing electrical test systems
used to verify PCBA and electronic product performance in
accordance with customer specifications and industry standards. The
engineer supports the entire test development lifecycle—from test
strategy definition and design through validation and release to
production—while ensuring compliance with the Quality Management
System (QMS). Responsibilities Develops and implements automated
PCBA test solutions, including hardware and software test fixtures,
from concept and quotation through validation and release to
production. Defines and executes structural and functional test
strategies using ICT, flying probe, and functional test platforms
(e.g., SPEA, Teradyne, Agilent). Designs electronic circuits,
wiring, and test software architectures using C#, Visual Basic,
.NET, and LabVIEW. Generates electrical test strategies,
specifications, programs, documentation, and cost estimates for
test fixtures and equipment. Collaborates cross-functionally with
engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to support New
Product Introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and production
ramp-up. Provides hands-on technical support to manufacturing,
including debugging test systems and resolving quality and yields
issues. Performs verification, validation, and ongoing maintenance
of test equipment, including CPK and GR&R studies. Contributes
to production engineering objectives, including process
improvement, lean manufacturing, and overall product quality.
Required Knowledge Skills and Experience Proven experience in test
development environments, including expertise in bed-of-nails
functional and in-circuit testing. Strong background in designing
and developing functional test equipment for electronic products
and components. Proficiency in C#-based programming using Visual
Studio, including experience with VB and VC. Solid understanding of
test process planning, Design for Testability (DFT), and Design for
Manufacturability (DFM). Hands-on experience designing, deploying,
and supporting production test equipment. Experience with PCB
design and assembly for test fixtures and test hardware.
Familiarity with SPEA Leonardo, SPEA ICT, and Flying Probe test
platforms. Demonstrated ability to manage, maintain, and
continuously improve test equipment systems. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of
Science in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related
technical field. 5 years of progressive experience in test design
engineering within a manufacturing or high-volume production
environment. Advanced expertise in electrical circuit analysis,
test methodologies, and the application of electronic measurement
and diagnostic equipment.
