Job Description:

Description: GameStop is looking for a dynamic Returns Manager to join our evolving organization. You will own the return's lifecycle while maintaining inventory integrity through returns management, requesting and tracking vendor RMA's, and making decisions on returns merchandise dispositions. What will I do?

  • Develop, maintain, and uphold process for returns management, ensuring compliance with company and corporate policy
  • Manages the return process to include accuracy, organization, and placement optimization
  • Negotiate RMA (Return Material Authorization) with suppliers, including mitigation of restocking fees
  • Direct timely and efficient receipt of the return merchandise
  • Investigate and mitigate financial implications of return requests denied by suppliers
  • Ensure all RM and RMA shipped orders are credited in a timely fashion
  • Direct activities surrounding mitigation of E&O inventories
  • Ensure staffing plans are forecasted sufficiently to meet business demands for workload and performance results and are implemented timely.
  • Develop KPIs around the returns process
  • Record and track return information for follow up and report on KPIs
  • Review and recommend changes to the returns process that drive efficiencies and cost savings
  • Leads and directs activities to provide excellence in service to customers, meet warehouse goals, and perform work in an accurate and timely manner
  • Follow all safety requirements according to the company safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of department SOPs
  • Operates within established monthly and annual budgets
  • Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service; anticipates, meets, and exceeds expectations by solving problems quickly and efficiently; making issues a priority
  • Manages the end-to-end process, reacting to yield and quality issues as they occur and pro-actively addressing potential issues, and ensuring the line performance is optimized throughout the shift
  • Communicate all issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or otherwise cause financial loss to the company or lost time or injury to its associates
  • Assist management with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as directed
  • Provide support and act as a point of contact and knowledge base of information for team members, working to ensure a safe and positive work environment
  • Maintains strong knowledge of and works cross-functionally in other areas of the Distribution Center or Refurb as directed to ensure the balanced, efficient completion of workload to achieve overall department goals
    • Consistently works on assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues Coaching - Provide timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem. Communication - Clearly convey information and ideas through various media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Continuous Improvement - Originate action to improve existing conditions and processes, using appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implement solutions and measure impact. Planning and Organizing - Establish clear courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively. What do I need?
      • Accredited Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or Computer Science preferred
      • High level of intellectual curiosity
      • Experience in driving operational efficiency
      • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
      • Think strategically and creatively, juggle multiple priorities, adjust to changing circumstances, organize time efficiently, and possess an innate ability to dig into the details
      • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs
        • Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization using spoken and written English, bilingual preferred
        • Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals, excels under pressure with multiple tasks happening at once
        • Must be able to lift boxes and work on your feet
        • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and e-mail skills required.
