DESCRIPTION/PURPOSEThis position is a unique blend of Finance and
Accounting with an expectation that this role is filled by a
dynamic leader able to manage the aggregate finance and accounting
function of an active land acquisition and development company. The
position requires industry experience in land development and/or
construction real estate. The responsibilities for this position
include maintaining financial records for land holding, land
development and related companies, reviewing prepared bank draw
packages, analyzing underwriting/proforma models, projecting
investment returns and presenting results to investors/owners. The
ideal candidate has a desire to quickly advance their knowledge and
understanding of the real estate investment/development market.JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, and other duties may be
assigned)
- Organizational Leadershipo While this role necessitates focus
on project-specific outputs, the practical desired output is for
this role to function as the head of finance and accounting for The
Company, a fully-integrated land acquisition and development
company.
- Financeo Working in conjunction with the CFO, create/update
complex excel underwriting/proforma schedules. o Coordinate with
finance team and CFO to prepare investor and debt packages.o
Coordinate land acquisition and development capital transactions
with debt and equity partners.o Review and present financial
statements for multiple companies.o Manage cash needs and prepare
cash and operating forecasts. o Review partnership and loan
agreements and ensure compliance with all terms.
- Accountingo The accounting-related requirements of the position
are primarily focused on managing both a team of individuals as
well as the overall timeline and accurate execution of such items,
which include the following:? Development bank draws by including
contractor pay applications, underlying contracts, lien waivers,
budget adjustments and contingencies. ? Verify that all management
fees are paid in a timely manner. ? Manage and reconcile capital
accounts in multiple companies. ? Assure that all month-end,
quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks are completed in a timely
manner.o Communicate with tax accountants and provide documentation
as required.o Communicate with Property Tax consultants.
- Investor / Lender Reportingo Responsible for all investor
reporting (internal and external investors.)o Calculate quarterly
investor distributions in conjunction with partnership agreements.

role.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree (B.A.) in
Accounting from four-year college or university. Master's Degree
and/or Active CPA a plus. Five + years' experience with evidence of
continued professional growth. Public accounting experience
