seeking an RN Manager of Critical Care (Medical ICU) for a top
healthcare client in Dallas, TX . This role provides leadership and
operational oversight for a 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit
(MICU), managing a team of 45 FTEs. The Manager is responsible for
ensuring the highest standards of critical care nursing practice,
fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability, and
aligning departmental performance with hospital goals for quality,
safety, and patient satisfaction. Job Responsibilities Oversee all
clinical and administrative operations of the Medical ICU. Lead and
mentor staff to maintain excellence in patient-centered care and
adherence to best practices. Collaborate with physicians and
multidisciplinary teams to optimize care outcomes. Develop and
implement department policies, programs, and quality improvement
initiatives. Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource
utilization to support operational efficiency. Ensure compliance
with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards. Promote
effective communication across teams and within the leadership
structure. Foster professional development through training,
evaluations, and performance feedback. Requirements Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required Master’s degree in
Nursing or related field preferred Experience Minimum of 2 years of
recent (within the last year) acute care leadership experience in
critical care required Prior ICU management experience strongly
preferred Certifications/Licenses Active Texas or Compact State RN
license required Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certifications required CCRN and/or CNRN preferred
Skills or Competencies Proven leadership and communication skills
Strong understanding of ICU clinical operations and regulatory
compliance Ability to drive team engagement, performance, and
quality improvement initiatives Financial and operational acumen
