ACLS Description: This position is for a Transplant PCU. The unit
has a requirement for both BLS and ACLS certifications. The unit
features 17 beds. Staff consists of 6 RNs and 1 Patient Care
Technician during the day shift. The same staffing levels apply for
the night shift. The estimated patient ratio is 1:4. No specific
equipment is noted for this unit. Electronic Medical Record system
in use is Meditech. Skills most sought after include time
management, BLS, and ACLS. Candidates lacking these skills will not
be considered for the role. Typical procedures performed include
general surgeries, kidney transplants, and pre-liver workups. The
preferred personality fit for candidates is flexible and adaptable.
Floating areas include all acute care areas: medical surgical,
general surgical, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, and
orthopedic units. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs.
Scheduling includes 4 weekend shifts per schedule period. This
