Job Description:
Fidelity Investments, a leading global financial services
provider, is seeking a seasoned Principal Data Engineer to enhance
our IT and Data Management team based in Boston, MA. The role is
crucial for creating strategic data solutions that support our
expansive financial services offerings. This position calls for an
innovative and experienced individual who will design, build, and
maintain robust data architectures, ensuring alignment with
business goals and facilitating essential insights that drive our
decision-making and financial product offerings. Develop and
maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations
to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
Collaborate with team members on cross-functional projects to
design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data
management systems. Ensure systems meet business requirements and
industry practices for security and privacy. Design data solutions
that utilize the latest technologies in real-time data streaming,
big data, data warehousing, and Artificial Intelligence. Work with
stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design
teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support
their data infrastructure needs. Lead innovation of the company’s
approach to data from generating data pipelines to analysis,
perspective, and ultimately decision influence. Expertise in SQL,
Python, Scala or Java. Experience with big data tools: Hadoop,
Spark, Kafka, etc. Experience with data pipeline and workflow
management tools such as Airflow, Nifi etc. Experience with AWS
cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift. Experience with
stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. Experience
with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, DynamoDB.
