Description POSITION PURPOSE: The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for the financial results of the stores as well as daily operations, staff development, brand protection, reporting, and compliance to company guidelines and critical policies. REPORTS TO: General Manager GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: FOLLOW ALL SIX CRITICAL POLICIES THAT DRIVE OUR CULTURE - INCLUDING o EVERY JOB IS EVERYONE’S JOB – LEAD BY EXAMPLE EVERYDAY • Hold team members accountable to following all standards and policies everyday • Subscribe to and follow procedures for ordering, receiving, and storing merchandise. Support and improve on fresh cold and hot grab and go food program Leverage the Back-Office system to ensure margin goals, 100% scan accuracy and pricing integrity. Properly and accurately use Vendor and Repair logs. Proper checking in of all deliveries with visible evidence. Adhere to published critical cycle count schedule for all products for sale in our retail locations. Execute additional counts as directed. Ensure shift change counts are completed and verified by a manager. Make sound decisions daily that improve the business while upholding all brand standards Bring innovative ideas to move the business forward that are within company policies and guidelines Build and motivate the hourly staff to reach the goals of the store including treating all managers with respect and with professionalism Providing constructive feedback to the staff on company direction and the decisions of the company’s upper management. Follow all airport lease and pricing requirements Ensure all team members are following company policies and procedures through following company required scheduling to see all parts of the business each fiscal period Ensure proper staffing by collaborating with HR and actively recruiting and promoting the referral incentive program. Increase revenue by ensuring proper staffing is maintained and schedules are done based on the best needs of the business and using Hot Schedules to the fullest of its capability Participate in interviewing and hiring sales associates Follow all training requirements for hourly sales associates and ensure they are meeting the standards prior to working alone Write and maintain effective schedules to meet the needs of the business and post per critical policies guidelines Work with the General Manager and/or Director to maximize sales and control labor cost. Communicate daily using Hot Schedules messages, staff journal, and daily logs. • Communicate regularly with corporate office and respond timely to requests Maintain food quality and sanitation when preparing or dating food. Inspect stores daily using Daily Walk to maintain optimum safety, cleanliness, sanitation and sales. Ensure and coach GREET, UPSELL, THANK (give receipt). Establish and maintain a “selling culture”. Check email daily and respond to requests Complete and send invoices and daily sales paperwork to corporate office timely. Review all reports sent weekly by corporate office staff and respond to issues cited Follow all company cash policies, cash audits and cash accountability. Promotes “Clean and Efficient” mentality Qualifications PERSONAL APPEARANCE The Operations Manager position requires a professional and crisp image. This includes no visible obscene or offensive tattoos or piercings, natural hair colors, professional hair styles that not distracting to the guest experience. Makeup must be modest and professional. Males are required to be clean shaven each day. Full beards are not allowed and all other facial hair must be kept trimmed at no longer than ¼ inch in length. No acrylic fingernails are allowed. Only clear polish is allowed on natural nails if any. Uniforms must be clean and pressed prior to each shift. Males and females with hair shoulder length must be kept tightly and smoothly pulled pack in a bun or pony tail. PHYSICAL AND HOUR REQUIREMENTS Most of our locations are extremely high volume and require managers to possess a strong stamina as they are on their feet 100% of the time and the position is hands on during the entire shift The Operations Manager is required to lift up to 30-50 pounds This position requires a minimum of 50-55 hours per week with the expectation that more hours may be required to reach all goals, responsibilities, and to meet the needs of the business This position requires a 100% attendance expectation with the exception of approved time off requests Ability to be productive all hours of the shift and work in a fast paced sometimes stressful environment Ability to stand in one place for several hours Ability to walk, stand, reach above the shoulders and bend all hours of the shift Ability to ambulate through the entire square footage of the airport assigned
