Job Description Job Description Director of Sales and Marketing Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Salary: $160K - $175K 40% Quarterly Bonus Potential Position Available: Immediately Relocation Assistance: Available Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the sales efforts for our full-service, nationally branded hotel. With a strong focus on the Group Room Segment, this role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of driving revenue, capturing market share, and delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will be a sales leader with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, group sales strategies, and the ability to quickly identify and capitalize on opportunities to shift market share. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to maximize revenue, with a primary focus on the Group Room Segment. Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals. Identify and target key accounts, industries, and markets to drive group bookings and increase market share. Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for share-shifting and positioning the hotel as the preferred choice for group business. Monitor market trends, demand generators, and industry developments to proactively adjust sales strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, meeting planners, and industry partners. Revenue Generation: Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing, inventory, and group sales strategies. Develop and implement creative promotions, packages, and campaigns to attract group business. Drive direct sales efforts through proactive outreach, site visits, and participation in trade shows and networking events. Marketing & Branding: Oversee the development and execution of marketing initiatives to enhance the hotel’s visibility and reputation in the group segment. Partner with the brand’s marketing team to ensure alignment with national campaigns and brand standards. Leverage digital marketing, social media, and other channels to promote the hotel’s group offerings. Performance Metrics: Track and analyze sales performance, market share, and revenue growth, providing regular reports to hotel leadership. Set measurable goals for the sales team and hold them accountable for achieving results. Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on group sales. Proven ability to shift market share and drive revenue growth in a competitive environment. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and revenue management strategies.
