Job Description Job Description Associate Attorney – Intellectual Property (Dallas, TX) Dallas-based law firm clients are consistently seeking Intellectual Property Associates to support growing IP practices across litigation and prosecution. Responsibilities May Include IP litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets Patent prosecution and portfolio management (for prosecution-focused roles) Trademark clearance, registration, and enforcement Drafting pleadings, motions, office actions, and responses Working closely with clients on IP strategy and protection Ideal Background 2–6 years of IP experience Patent bar eligibility or registration (for patent-focused roles) Technical background (engineering, CS, life sciences) preferred for patent roles Strong writing and analytical skills Texas bar admission preferred Why These Roles Appeal to Candidates Sophisticated, high-value work Strong demand and long-term stability Hybrid flexibility at many firms Competitive compensation aligned with market demand Location: Dallas, TX Practice Areas: IP Litigation / Patent Prosecution / Trademarks Base Salary Range: $135,000 – $205,000 , depending on experience, IP focus, and technical background.
